Faithful Is The One Who Promised

Faithful Is The One Who Promised
ASong for Those Still Standing
There will be nights,
Days when the righteous will grow tired...
Quietly.
Not because they stopped believing, but because they kept believing...
And still watched doors close.
They prayed.
They obeyed.
They guarded their hearts from evil.
They carried kindness like oil in fragile lamps—
Yet somehow, life still arrived like winter without warning.
And the soul begins to whisper: “Lord... was I wrong to trust You?”
Usually, a deafening silence follows
But, no — You were not wrong.
Just that some seasons are not for appearing, but for becoming.
The seed looks buried long before it looks fruitful.
And roots do their holiest work hidden beneath dark soil.
Joseph interpreted dreams correctly and still slept in prison.
Daniel prayed faithfully and still entered the lion’s den.
The Hebrew boys refused compromise and still walked into fire.
Even Christ, the spotless Lamb, was loved by Heaven and wounded by earth.
They were lives lived so loudly in truth,
That even posterity dares not forget them.
So do not measure God’s faithfulness by the temperature of your circumstances.
For there are battles where victory does not look like escape.
Sometimes victory is simply refusing to become what hurts you.
Sometimes triumph is keeping your heart soft in a world determined to harden it.
And sometimes the miracle is that after all the breaking,
You still pray. You still love. You still stand.
And yes—There will be moments when heaven feels unbearably silent.
Moments when you have done everything right, yet things still go left.
Moments where tears become theology, and pain becomes language only God fully understands.
But child of dust and eternity, do not mistake silence for absence.
The Teacher is often quietest during the examination.
Faith is not proven when seas split immediately—
But when your feet remain planted before the waters move.
So, stand. After the prayers, Stand. After disappointment, Stand. After betrayal has exhausted your trust, Stand. After your name is misunderstood, and your goodness questioned, Stand.
Having done all, stand. Not with arrogance. Not with bitterness. Not with clenched fists toward heaven—
But with the quiet dignity of one who knows That God is still God Even here.
There are people who panic in smoke— And there are others who sit in fire, teaching trembling soul how not to burn. May you become the latter.
And if your season feels hidden, do not despise hidden things. Seeds look buried long before they look fruitful. And roots do their holiest work hidden beneath dark soil.
The womb is hidden. Foundations are hidden. Yet without them, nothing sacred survives height.
One day, what feels delayed will reveal itself as preparation.
One day, you will understand why Heaven did not rush your becoming.
One day, the very place that broke you will become the place From which wisdom speaks.
But until then— Hold tightly to what suffering cannot rewrite:
For God is not a man that He should lie.
Neither is He bound by the frailty of men that He should retreat from His word, His word does not wither with the wind:
What Heaven has uttered. Time itself must honor.
His timing may wound your impatience, But His character remains untouched.
Faithful in silence.
Faithful in waiting.
Faithful in fire.
Faithful in famine.
Faithful when applause disappears.
Faithful when answers delay.
He remains Faithful still.
So, if all you can do tonight is breathe and remain—
Then remain.
Because sometimes the holiest act of faith is simply this: Having done all... Stand.
Even if your knees tremble while doing so,
Remain standing... Until silence speaks.
